Vocus and Google Cloud team up for Australia partnership
Vocus Group has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to help it bring the best of high-speed connectivity, cloud services and digital growth opportunities to Australian businesses and government organisations.
The partnership establishes Vocus as a key sales channel to supply Google Cloud’s public cloud services to enterprise and government customers. It includes Vocus channel partners, who will be enabled to sell and deliver services for Google Cloud, focusing on Cloud Infrastructure and Data Analytics.
The partnership also establishes Vocus as a Google Cloud Interconnect partner, as well as a user of Google Cloud technologies for a range of its own business transformation and digitisation purposes. These include helping improve internal collaboration, taking a more flexible approach to application development and exploring ways to use data analytics for better decision making.
Vocus Chief Executive, Enterprise & Government, Andrew Wildblood, said as challengers to entrenched information and communications technology providers, Vocus and Google Cloud were a great fit as alliance partners.
“Vocus and Google Cloud share a lot in common, whether it be our strong focus on simplicity, delivering a great experience for customers, or developing our people.”
“We’re excited to be collaborating with one of the world’s most innovative businesses to bring the very best connectivity and services to enterprise and government customers that we can.
“We’re also excited to be collaborating on ways we can enhance our own business transformation by drawing on the capabilities of Google Cloud technology,” Mr Wildblood said.
Country Director, Google Cloud in Australia and New Zealand, Colin Timm, said the alignment and relative strengths of Vocus and Google Cloud brought a lot of value to the partnership.
“We look forward to working with Vocus to enhance our reach into the enterprise market in key verticals and to help further expand Google Cloud’s footprint in this region.”
“I’m looking forward to what we can build together,” Mr Timm said.
